If you’ve landed on this page it is likely that you’ve come via an employee assistance programme, so welcome to my website.
Here is a little info about what to expect from our work together. We will initially have 6 sessions together, they will be weekly and each session is 50 minutes. at session 4 we will have a check in about how things are going, what might need to be changed and if there is a need for more sessions at which point we can put in a requested to your provider for this.
I am an integrative counsellor, which means that I pull difference techniques from a few approaches and tailor this to you. ultimately my aim is to give you space to air thoughts and feelings, without any judgement, that perhaps you aren’t able to elsewhere, and together we can untangle them. In our first session we will spend time getting to know each other, I can learn more about what has brought you to therapy and your therapy goals, and you can ask me any questions about the counselling process. Some things to consider before our first session:
What are you hoping to achieve in counselling?
How do you feel about being challenged?
Do you have time outside of our sessions for reflective practice? (such as time to read, listen to a podcast or time set aside to do a worksheet or journal)
